The Honors College:

The honors program was created in 1958, but wasn't established as the college we know today until 1993! The Honors College houses 2,500 students on average, and the Honors Ambassadors help to make sure that potential students find the place where they belong. We do this across a wide variety of events, including those specific to the Honors College, as well as the greater University of Houston as a whole. Our goal is to keep the Honors Community as involved as possible by giving back to our school and ensuring that prospective students feel welcomed and well-informed. We balance staff involvement and members of the organization through meetings, weekly emails, and a close knit community of Ambassadors.
